The Artistic Mentorship Program (AMP) supports young artists, musicians, and creatives in Ottawa by connecting them to opportunities, mentorship, and platforms to share their work.
Originally delivered as a fully funded arts mentorship program, AMP has evolved into a flexible opportunity and networking pathway for youth pursuing artistic and creative expression. Today, AMP focuses on helping young creatives build visibility, connect with peers and professionals, and access performance, exhibition, and promotional opportunities across the city.
AMP recognizes that artistic careers are built through exposure, relationships, and experience—and aims to create those entry points for youth.

Who is AMP for?
Age: Youth and young adults (typically 14–30)
Location: Ottawa

AMP is for youth who are:
- musicians, vocalists, bands, DJs, or producers

No formal training or previous experience is required—just a commitment to creative expression and community.
Who supports AMP?
The Artistic Mentorship Program is facilitated by Youth Ottawa, with support from community partners, artists, and organizations that believe in youth-led arts and culture.
Historically, AMP was supported through public funding and partnerships that enabled large-scale delivery. Today, the program continues through Youth Ottawa’s broader ecosystem of events, platforms, and creative initiatives.
